Aerial Yoga - Level 2

Jennifer Kennedy

Upon moving to Charlottesville in 2013 Jenn took Eliza's class by accident and instantly knew her practice would transform.
She found her 'home' with Flydog and completed 200-hr YTT with Eliza Whiteman.  Jennifer also has her FDY Barre Certification as well as Aerial Level 1 & 2 Certifications from Aircat Aerial Arts.
Jennifer is the Lead Aerial Teacher at FlyDog Yoga. Her passion for teaching Aerial stems from 'stepping outside of your comfort zone'- she was hooked first flip!
Every class is taught with the intention of creating a playful yet informative experience, she likes to focus on building strength, body-breath awareness, and proper technique. She lives for the look on a students face when they achieve a skill - Priceless!

Andrea Jarvis

Andrea is a relative newcomer to yoga but fell in love instantly. The emphasis on encouraging personal growth as well as building community has enriched her life in ways that words cannot adequately express. She completed her first teacher training in 2017 and hasn't looked back. Andrea has her FlyDog Yoga Barre as well as FlyDog Yoga Aerial level 1 & 2 certifications. With a background in sports medicine, she particularly enjoys the balance between strength and flexibility and structure and playfulness that these classes provide.
So you are already comfortable with your hammock, basic aerial flow and basic inversions – then this class is for you!
 
With less time focused on introductions and instruction on our basic flow, we can spend more time exploring deeper inversions, challenging transitions, and more advanced aerial yoga poses!
 
Pre-Requisites: You must have attended 2 Aerial Yoga – Level 1classes here at FlyDog Yoga before you can join the advanced class.
 
It is very important for students to arrive a minimum of 10 minutes before the start of class so that their hammock may be sized properly. Students who do not arrive at least five minutes before the start of class may find their spot has been given to a standby student.
 
Clothing requirements: short or long sleeves (no tank tops); no zippers or metal. No jewelry.
Physical Restrictions: Please talk to the instructor before class if you have any concerns. People who have heart disease, high blood pressure, vertigo, eye diseases (such as glaucoma), or are pregnant should consult their doctors first before trying inversions.
