A fantastic group came out yesterday to fine tune their Sun Salutations. A big thanks to MaryAnn for leading a great session and to all those who were a part of it. We look forward to making this workshop a regular event!
Sun Salutations are a key part of any vinyasa or flow style yoga practice. Though often used as a warm up and a way to energize the body, the poses in Sun Salutations present themselves again and again throughout class. Because the poses are repeated many times, learning proper alignment and how to move with your breath is essential to avoiding injury and encourages a healthy practice. It can be challenging in a regular class setting to give each pose the attention it needs, which can lead to rushing, poor form, and sometimes cause injury. Join MaryAnn for a two-hour "What the Flow" workshop on Sunday, March 1 from 1:30-3:30 and she will break down the poses and the modifications, which will offer accessibility to all levels. Whether you are a seasoned practitioner, a beginner, or somewhere in between, gaining knowledge of sun salutations will greatly benefit your yoga practice. You will have noticeable changes in your strength in each pose and hopefully your practice overall.
