Glow with the Flow with Shannon and Madison Sat, Oct 28, 2017 at 6:00 pm - 7:15 pm
 
Wear anything that glows and join Shannon and Madison for a spectacular Glow with the Flow Vinyasa class. Doors open at 5:30pm so you have time to pick out your glow bracelets (provided).

Class starts at 6pm and will be a 75 minute Vinyasa practice that is open to ALL levels!

Based on Baron Baptiste’s book and program, 40 Days to Personal Revolution, we will employ the practices of mindful eating, yoga, meditation, and self-inquiry to recognize and free ourselves from old habits while establishing new practices that nourish our bodies, minds, and spirits.
 
A daily combination of asana practice, meditation, diet and personal reflection will cultivate a solid foundation from which you can live and grow. The program's purpose is to guide you on your own personal transformation whether you are a beginner or experienced student. In 40 days you will create a whole new way of being and living. Whether you are looking for a huge transformation or small positive shifts in your life, this inspiring program will motivate you to take ownership of your life and live from a higher level of well-being.
 
You will be inspired to transform both body and mind.
 
The program’s 40 Days is divided into six weeks. The challenge is for you to commit to 6 days a week of practice (1 optional day of home practice) and one day of rest. Each week builds on the lessons of the one preceding it. The Sunday meeting builds on the basics of poses, breathing, meditation, nutrition and accountability.
 
This is an amazing opportunity to see what is holding you back in life.
 
Required Materials:
• "40 Days to Personal Revolution" by Baron Baptiste, can be purchased at the studio for $12 or on Amazon and other similar online stores.
• Journal
• FlyDog Yoga classes or Membership through the 40 Days.
Attend weekly meetings on Sunday. You have two meeting times to pick from: 1:30pm or 7:00pm.

Myofascial Release with Shannon Burns Sun, Nov 12, 2017 at 1:30 pm - 3:00 pm
Join Shannon on Sunday, November 12, from 1:30-3pm for this Myofascial Release Workshop.

Fascia is the connective tissue in our bodies, which gives us support, mobility and flexibility. When fascia becomes restricted, it can cause pain and limited range of motion.

This interactive workshop will provide hands on instruction. We will use tools such as foam rollers, sports balls and stretches to release fascial restrictions.

From this workshop you will learn:

-Learn valuable myofascial soft tissue release techniques for your entire body that will produce immediate therapeutic results.

-Identify tight fascia and apply self myofascial mobilization techniques to the upper and lower extremities, and acquire tools for integrating self myofascial release at home to decrease muscular pain while increasing flexibility.

-Find increased ease in your asana practice and beyond, through self myofascial release.

Props needed: Yoga Mat. We will provide the rollers, yoga blocks, and balls.

Our Yoga Basics Workshop will introduce beginners to the yoga foundations as well as provide an opportunity for more seasoned practitioners to gain clarity in their yoga practice. This workshop will provide the opportunity to have a small group session tailored to give you personalized attention and the tools you need to build up your yoga practice.

We will break down the basics of Meditation, Pranayama (breathing techniques), breakdowns of Sun Salutations, side angle, triangle, pyramid and half moon. The workshop will conclude with deep relaxation and Savasana (Final Resting Pose).

As winter arrives and we approach the giving season - take some time for yourself to recharge and find your center. The slow moving, meditative pace of Yin Yoga leads to clarity of mind, and the extended holding of postures targets deep tissues increasing joint mobility, range of motion, and overall circulation.

Co-taught by Jessica Bossler and Kelsey Gillan, this workshop is perfect for both beginners and those familiar with the practice. After some intentional instruction, settle into an extended 90 minute sequence that is sure to leave you feeling open to giving and receiving love all December long.
