Kids Aerial Yoga with Jennifer Kennedy Sun, Dec 17, 2017 at 12:00 pm - 1:15 pm
 
Ages 6-10.  Our specially trained aerial yoga instructors will safely lead your children on an aerial yoga adventure, progressing slowly from one pose to the next. Aerial yoga promotes better balance, boosts confidence, and offers a sense of courage and strength… all while having a ton of fun! Children will gain flexibility, confidence, and get a fantastic full-body workout! They don’t know how hard they are working because they have so much fun here. Boys and girls love our classes. No yoga, dance or gymnastic background is necessary.  Space is limited to 9 students; pre-registration is required.

Kids Yoga: How the Grinch Found Yoga with Jennifer Kennedy Wed, Dec 20, 2017 at 1:30 pm - 3:30 pm
Ages 5-10.  Give your children the gift of yoga while you get some last minute shopping done - or a well-deserved break! We'll have a Grinch-themed yoga class, songs and games, as well as a craft. If available, please provide a yoga mat for each child as well as a water bottle.

Mommy & Me Partner Aerial Yoga with Jennifer Kennedy Fri, Dec 22, 2017 at 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm
Come have some FUN with your tween/teen in this special aerial class Mom & Me!! We will build on strength, coordination, communication and body awareness as we flow through a warm-up and PLAY with partner poses!

*Space is limited to 9 pairs.  Parent should create the account and reserve and pay for 1 spot in the class for their pair ($30). Hammocks will be shared in this class.

Join Shannon for a Myofascial Release Workshop.

Fascia is the connective tissue in our bodies, which gives us support, mobility and flexibility. When fascia becomes restricted, it can cause pain and limited range of motion.

This interactive workshop will provide hands on instruction. We will use tools such as foam rollers, sports balls and stretches to release fascial restrictions.

From this workshop you will learn:

-Learn valuable myofascial soft tissue release techniques for your entire body that will produce immediate therapeutic results.

-Identify tight fascia and apply self myofascial mobilization techniques to the upper and lower extremities, and acquire tools for integrating self myofascial release at home to decrease muscular pain while increasing flexibility.

-Find increased ease in your asana practice and beyond, through self myofascial release.

Props needed: Yoga Mat. We will provide the rollers, yoga blocks, and balls.

Our Yoga Basics Workshop will introduce beginners to the yoga foundations as well as provide an opportunity for more seasoned practitioners to gain clarity in their yoga practice. This workshop will provide the opportunity to have a small group session tailored to give you personalized attention and the tools you need to build up your yoga practice.

We will break down the basics of Meditation, Pranayama (breathing techniques), breakdowns of Sun Salutations, side angle, triangle, pyramid and half moon. The workshop will conclude with deep relaxation and Savasana (Final Resting Pose).

Stillness & Flow: A Vinyasa Weekend with Rolf Gates Don't miss this opportunity to study with Rolf Gates!Join Rolf for a dynamic weekend of Vinyasa, meditation, pranyama and lecture/discussion as we explore the practices that create a life that works. Throughout this weekend, we will dive into the tools of yoga that allow us to stay connected to the truth of who we are as we practice new ways of being in the world.The yoga will be a synergy of the freedom of a powerful Vinyasa class and the structural integrity of yoga's therapeutic alignment principles.The intensive is intentionally challenging, but open to all who wish to explore yoga as an evolutionary journey. The only 'requirement' is that you show up, do your best and let your best be good enough.The sessions are intended as a whole weekend workshop, but the sessions may be taken individually. All sessions will be based around aspects of Rolf Gates' Meditations on Intention and Beings: Dally Reflections on the Path of Yoga, Mindfulness and Compassion.

We will be hosting this event in the Omni Charlottesville Hotel ballroom (212 Ridge McIntire Rd, Charlottesville, VA 22903). Complimentary parking is available on-site for participants. Early Bird Pricing through January 16th: 4 sessions for $160 or $50 per individual session. Regular Pricing: 4 sessions for $200 or $60 per individual session. Please try to arrive a few minutes early and bring your own mat.

The Chakras in Action with Rolf Gates Sat, Feb 17, 2018 at 9:00 am - 12:00 pm
Open to Teachers and Students: The Chakras chart a course across our lives by defining key relationships that have to be resolved on the path to spiritual maturity. They are an energetic link between the manifest and the un-manifest dimensions in our lives and the place in which thought becomes form. A well-designed yoga class unfolds along the path laid out by the Chakras. This workshop will combine a lecture/discussion period and an asana-practice session dedicated to integrating the concepts taught. To truly realize the learning opportunity, it is recommended that participants in the Chakra Workshop also attend a minimum of one Vinyasa session during the weekend.
