We are so excited to welcome you back to the studio!

Practicing at FlyDog will be a little different as we take extra measures to protect your health and safety. Here is a guide to our new procedures so that you can be prepared for your first class back!

What to do before you arrive:

  • Everyone must sign our updated waiver before they come in for class – you can read and sign it digitally here: (link will be active shortly)
  • Be sure you sign up for class in advance – we will only be able to accept students who are pre-registered with a payment method already purchased.
  • If you come into contact with anyone who is known to have COVID-19, or if you experience any symptoms of illness, you must wait 14 days before attending a class in the studio.
  • Because of our limited capacity, we’ve had to amend our late cancellation and no-show policies:
    • If you have to cancel class within the 4 hours before it begins, you’ll be charged a late cancellation fee of $10.
    • If you sign up for a class but don’t attend, you’ll be charged a no-show fee of $10 and your class pricing option will be forfeited.
    • If you experience any symptoms of illness prior to class, please give us a call at the studio, and we’ll be happy to waive your cancellation fee.

What to bring with you:

  • Mat (and mat towel, if you need one) – we will not have any mats or towels available to rent. We will have mats for sale at the studio – if you do not bring a mat and are not prepared to purchase one, you will not be able to attend class and will be considered a no-show ($10 fee and your class pricing option will be forfeited).
  • Hand towel for sweat – our complimentary towels have been discontinued for now.
  • Water – we won’t have any water for sale at the studio, but we do have our FlyDog Elemental water bottles available for purchase if you need one and the bottle filler will be operational!
  • Block – we’ll have these available for purchase too, if you’d like to pick up one of your own.
  • Mask – you must wear one at all times while you’re in the studio, except when you are practicing.
  • Our lockers won’t be available, so any additional belongings you bring in will need to fit on your shoe tray or next to your mat.

When you get to FlyDog:

  • Please arrive no more than 15 minutes before class. We will not be able to accommodate late arrivals, so you must be here by 3 minutes before the class is scheduled to start.
  • Be sure to wear your mask!
  • We’ll greet you at the door and let you know when you can enter the lobby. Please be sure to maintain a distance of 6 feet at all times for everyone’s safety.
  • Once you’re in, a manager will ask you a few questions (see our FAQ section) and take your temperature. Then you’ll need to help yourself to some hand sanitizer, drop your shoes and any belongings on a tray, and head directly back into the studio.
  • Your teacher will show you where to put your mat. Let them know if you prefer not to be on camera, and they can get you a space toward the back of the studio. If weights are needed for the class, two sets will be by your mat already – let the teacher know if you would like an additional set of a different weight and they will bring them to you.
  • Once you’re on your mat, it’s important that you stay there unless you need to use the restroom. Feel free to chat with your fellow yogis, but remain on your mat with your mask on to do so.
  • Our locker rooms will be available for bathroom use and filling up water bottles only – lockers and showers will be temporarily closed. We will not have many of our amenities (hair ties, etc.) available in the locker rooms, and there will not be an area to change at this time, so please arrive ready for class. Please enter the locker rooms only one at a time.
  • Your teacher will let you know when it’s ok to remove your mask to practice. If you leave your mat for any reason during the practice, you’ll need to put it back on.

After class:

  • Your teacher will remind you to put your mask back on and will guide you in exiting the room.
  • Feel free to grab a wipe for your mat. If you used weights during class, please place them at the back of the room as you leave.
  • Please plan to leave the studio right after class so that we have time to sanitize everything before our next class!

Will you still be live-streaming?

Yes! All classes will continue to be live-streamed on our new online platform.

What is your new pricing for in-studio classes?

You can find our new pricing options here.

How will you be cleaning the studio?

We sanitize every surface of the studio and every prop used for class with AirX 44 ACE, a hospital-grade disinfectant that is approved to combat Human Coronavirus.

Why can’t I borrow blocks/towels/mats?

These items are porous and cannot be effectively sanitized between each class. In an effort to keep every student and our team safe, we are not able to provide these to you at this time.

What are the questions that I will be asked when I come for class?

Here’s our wellness questionnaire, which we will complete with everyone who enters the studio every time they arrive:

  • Are you currently experiencing any of the following symptoms:
    • a new fever (100.4° or higher) or a sense of having a fever?
    • a new cough that cannot be attributed to another health condition?
    • new shortness of breath that cannot be attributed to another health condition?
    • new chills that cannot be attributed to another health condition?
    • a new sore throat that cannot be attributed to another health condition?
    • new muscle aches that cannot be attributed to another health condition or physical activity (such as physical exercise)?
  • Have you experienced any of these symptoms within the past 14 days?
  • Have you been in contact with a known COVID-19 case in the past 14 days (within 6 feet of the case for a prolonged period of time)?

How will your teachers and staff be screened?

Each of our teachers and staff will undergo a wellness questionnaire as well as a temperature check when they arrive at the studio.

Is it going to be hot?

We’ll be turning up the heat slowly over the next several weeks, so that you can reacclimate gradually.

Can I purchase retail items?

We will have retail available in the store, but we won’t have everything on display in the lobby. Just ask a manager for assistance if you’d like to purchase something and we can help you use our new Square terminal with a credit card or Apple Pay. You can also purchase through our online retail store and we’ll have your order ready for you to pick up when you arrive!

Don’t hesitate to give us a call or email us at info@flydogyoga.com if you have any questions before you arrive. We can’t wait to see you!

While it is our intent to respect everyone’s privacy, if you do test positive for COVID-19 and you have been to our studio in the past 14 days, please email Megan (megan@flydogyoga.com) so that we can fulfill our responsibility to protect others by notifying them. Any identifying information will be withheld so that your privacy is protected.
